Press Release Body: WOW! Women On Writing is proud to partner with Seal Press for
their Spring 2008 Flash Fiction Contest. Seal Press is an imprint of The Perseus
Book Group, which won the Publisher's Weekly Award for "Publisher of the Year 2007."

Seal Press is inspired by the simple yet radical notion that a book can change a
woman's life, and is devoted to publishing titles that inform, reveal, engage,
delight, and support women of all ages and backgrounds. Some of their recent, and
forthcoming, titles include: Half-Assed: A Weight-Loss Memoir by Jennette Fulda; Own
It!: The Ups and Downs of Homebuying for Women Who Go it Alone by Jennifer
Musselman; and Open: Love, Sex, and Life in an Open Marriage by Jenny Block. WOW!
has chosen to interview these authors from Seal's lineup for their upcoming magazine
issues.

WOW! Founder and CEO, Angela Mackintosh, says, "I can't think of a better fit for
WOW! Women On Writing. Seal Press is publishing some of the most important and
unique books out there for women today. We're thrilled to partner with Seal. I know
they're going to be the ones to watch for this year."

The mission of WOW! Women On Writing's quarterly contests is to inspire creativity,
communication, and well-rewarded recognition to contestants. $2,000.00 in cash and
prizes will be given away, including Seal Press' books and goodie bags. The 1st,
2nd, and 3rd Place Winners will be published on WOW! Women On Writing. The Top Ten
Winners will be interviewed on the WOW! Blog: AKA: The Muffin. 25 honorable mentions
will also receive Seal Press' books and goodie bags. There will be 35 winners in
all.

"It's a huge undertaking," says Angela. "We have a round table of guest judges who
do the preliminary judging, and for the final judging, we were lucky enough to
secure literary agent Wendy Sherman to be our official guest judge this season."

Wendy Sherman and Associates has an impressive roster of well established,
critically acclaimed and award-winning clients that range from literary to more
commercial, including Nani Power (Crawling at Night), Howard Bahr (The Black
Flower), William Lashner (A Killers Kiss), Liam Callanan (All Saints), and famed
actress Rue McClannahan (My First Five Husbands).

WOW! has received numerous compliments throughout the year from various contestants.
Ubong Abasi-Johnathan from Ontario, Canada, writes, "Your contests help spur some of
us writers who have our hands full with so many other things to make out time for
our writing." Donna Wilkins from New Mexico, says, "This award, and being published
on the WOW website, made it feel official; I really am a writer!" Dianne Greco, from
New York, writes, "Your site is so supportive and warm hearted, I feel like I have
found the sisters I never had! Your personal attention to every detail makes it so
special that I think even the most astute writer would have a hard time putting my
heartfelt gratitude into words. Thanks again for everything. You have given me more
than you know."
